2006 Chateau Ste Michelle "Eroica" Riesling

Yup, we're going through Rieslings right now ... and this one is the best one yet. So far we've said they're sweet, or sour, but this one is a nice balance. We'll get more of this!

BTW, the name is actually pronounced "Erotica."

2006 Charles Smith "Kung Fu Girl" Reisling

We split up a bottle of this the last time the mother was in town, before catching an afternoon screening of The Fall. It was sweeter than most, and we liked it very much. There was a cheese plate involved; it was madness.

2006 Claiborne & Churchill Dry Reisling

We had some of this at "The Better Half" restaurant, which is a kinda kewl concept of a restaurant as they only serve half-bottle of wines. It was very tasty and sweet enough to make Kris happy.

Lindeman's Lambic : Peche

Very tasty peach flavor, as usual without being all sweet. Almost as good as the apple, and probably on some days seems even better!

Lindeman's Lambic : Kriek

That's Cherry, in Belgian. ;) Unfortunately this totally reminded me of cough syrup ... which is the fault of cough syrup, not the lambic, but I couldn't get past it.

Lindeman's Lambic : Framboise

Very very tasty raspberry lambic. Not too sweet!

Lindeman's Lambic : Pomme

About eight times better than apple cider. Awesome!

2004 Jacob's Creek Riesling

Okay, so the beverage mega-mart emailed me and said this was a "90 point wine." It's white wine. The label says it's from south australia.

Kris took one sip and nailed it on the head, it's tart ... or downright sour. I took the rest of the sips; someone's gotta earn the CRV on these bottles.

I know, this wine review has absolutely no resemblance to a "real" review. We'll get the hang of it; meanwhile, unabashedly starting to write stuff is a good way to get going.
